Alvis 4,3 Litre Special, année 1939. Numéro de châssis : 14833X. Couleur British Racing Green foncé avec un intérieur en cuir noir. Capot noir et couvercle de tonneau noire. Ce fabuleux Alvis Special fut construit il y a quinze ans par un spécialiste d'Alvis au Royaume-Uni. La construction était basée sur un châssis Alvis de 4,3 litres d'origine rare et sur l'utilisation d'un également rare moteur Alvis 4,3 litres à six cylindres en ligne équipé de trois carburateurs S.U. Des photos de la construction sont présentes ainsi qu'un fichier de documentation complet. Cette splendide Alvis Special est en excellent état et la voiture roule parfaitement ! Le moteur délivre beaucoup de couple et de puissance et la note d'échappement est magnifique ! L'intérieur de cet Alvis Special était parfaitement agencé, il offre suffisamment d'espace pour les conducteurs / passagers plus longs et la capote érigée ne limite pas la liberté de mouvement (rarement observée sur ce type de voitures d’avant-guerre spécial). Un autre aspect pratique est le grand coffre derrière les sièges. Une carte d'identité FIVA et les papiers britanniques originaux sont présents, la voiture peut être enregistrée dans n'importe quel pays. Cette Alvis 4,3 litre special est prête pour toute sortie ou défi entre les mains d'un nouveau propriétaire !

Alvis history
Alvis was founded by Thomas George John and G.P. de Freville. The first cars built under the Alvis name were manufactured in 1920, and the last Alvis (sports) cars came out of the factory in Coventry 47 years later. The ending of the brand name Alvis was sealed when it was incorporated into the British Leyland concern, where it became part of Rover.
The Alvis cars were of great quality and workmanship and were very fast as well. As for their cars, many parts were designed and manufactured by Alvis’ own staff, and production was small-scaled and exclusive. In the 1920s, Alvis was the first British car model to experiment with four-wheel drive. In fact, in 1925, they even manufactured sports and racing cars equipped with front-wheel drive, which had also been fitted with an overhead camshaft.
