Alvis Speed 25 SC Charlesworth Drop Head Coupé, année 1938. Couleur verte combinée avec un intérieur en cuir magnolia (beige pâle) et un tapis beige. Capot à trois positions en vinyle noir. Cet élégant Alvis Speed 25 SC a été vendu neuf au Royaume-Uni. Le dernier propriétaire britannique a apprécié l'automobile pendant plus de 25 ans avant que l'automobile ne trouve une nouvelle maison aux Pays-Bas. L'Alvis est livrée avec un bon dossier historique, tous les propriétaires précédents sont connus. Cette Alvis Speed 25 SC est dans un état super original et la voiture montre des traces évidentes d'utilisation et d'âge (patine) qui ajoutent fortement au caractère d'avant-guerre. L'Alvis a été bien entretenu au cours des nombreuses années de propriété d'un passionné d'Alvis. Les documents et les factures concernant le service et les réparations sont présents. Cette Alvis Speed 25 SC fut régulièrement conduite sur des trajets plus longs ; cela devient évident au volant de cet impressionnant Alvis. Mécaniquement tout fonctionne parfaitement. Le moteur six cylindres en ligne fonctionne parfaitement et toutes les commandes fonctionnent en douceur, c'est une excellente voiture de conduite. La carrosserie Charlesworth dispose d'un capot à 3 positions qui peut être utilisé fermé, à moitié ouvert et complètement ouvert. L'Alvis est actuellement immatriculée aux Pays-Bas, cette automobile super originale peut être exportée dans n'importe quel pays du monde. L'Alvis est livrée avec une rare brochure de vente originale de 1938.

Alvis was founded by Thomas George John and G.P. de Freville. The first cars built under the Alvis name were manufactured in 1920, and the last Alvis (sports) cars came out of the factory in Coventry 47 years later. The ending of the brand name Alvis was sealed when it was incorporated into the British Leyland concern, where it became part of Rover.
The Alvis cars were of great quality and workmanship and were very fast as well. As for their cars, many parts were designed and manufactured by Alvis’ own staff, and production was small-scaled and exclusive.
In the 1920s, Alvis was the first British car model to experiment with four-wheel drive. In fact, in 1925, they even manufactured sports and racing cars equipped with front-wheel drive, which had also been fitted with an overhead camshaft.
The Alvis Speed 25 and the 4.3 Litre are considered to be the best automobiles built by Alvis. 391 Alvis Speed 25 chassis were built of which 220 are known to survive.
