Sunbeam Tiger MK I, année 1965. Couleur vert foncé (British Racing Green) combinée à un intérieur en similicuir noir et un tapis noir. Ce Sunbeam Tiger rare et désirable fut vendu neuf dans le Missouri, aux États-Unis. Le Sunbeam Tiger est basé sur le roadster Sunbeam Alpine avec un moteur à quatre cylindres. En 1962, le pilote de F1 Jack Brabham a suggéré qu'un moteur V8 devait être essayé. Le développement fut en partie réalisé par Carroll Shelby qui a effectué une conversion similaire sur l'AC ACE aboutissant au légendaire AC Cobra. Le Sunbeam Tiger est une voiture moins « hard core » et une voiture classique beaucoup plus pratique avec un capot approprié qui se range magnifiquement et un coffre approprié. Seulement 7083 exemplaires du Sunbeam Tiger furent construits,

The Sunbeam Tiger is a high-performance V8 version of the British Rootes Group's Sunbeam Alpine roadster. In 1962 F1 driver Jack Brabham suggested to Rootes competition manager Norman Garrad the idea to fit a Ford V8 engine to the Sunbam Alpine. The design work was done in part by Carroll Shelby who had carried out a similar V8 conversion on the AC Ace (of Cobra fame) before. The assembly work was done by Jensen at West Bromwich in England, and Shelby was paid a royalty on every car produced. The Sunbeam tiger was produced from 1964 until 1967. A total of 7083 cars was built, of which 633 cars were Mk 2 models fitted with the 4,7 litre Ford V8 engine.
